Who we are

Fundsure are regulatory specialists who advise primarily fund management and associated companies. Although a small firm, we have over 35 collective years working in FCA regulated firms from big banks to new fund launches. We advise on all aspects of compliance and provide high-level ‘COO-type’ advisory services, covering Legal, HR, Finance, Strategy, Marketing, Risk Management and Governance.

We also project manage fund launches for emerging and existing managers, advising and managing all aspects of a launch, from helping to choose the right jurisdiction, the service providers, the structure and the vehicles to launching and helping you get authorised as an AIFM or investment manager.

We are registered with HMRC for company formation services and are an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), registered with Companies House for identity checking of Directors and PSCs.

Fundsure is very much a small family business at the moment. However, we have a number of experienced professionals assisting with various projects as sub-contractors.

  • Founder

    Steve Middleton MBA, MA, PGDip, MIoD, FRSA

    Steve has over 28 years of professional experience in financial services, the UK Ministry of Defence and the charities sector. He currently serves as the Non-Executive Director and Audit Chair of an AIM-Listed stockbroker and is a Compliance Officer and MLRO (SMF16/17) of two firms in the UK. He is also a Nominated Officer for a Trust and Corporate Services Provider and for Fundsure.

    He was previously the Chief Administration Officer of Global Markets UK at BNP Paribas and was the COO of BNP Paribas UK Ltd.  In this role he held directorships of six subsidiaries in the UK and Ireland.  He gained extensive experience in over 20 years of regulatory structuring and legal roles during his time at BNP Paribas and Tokyo-Mitsubishi International, project managing and setting up several funds and SPVs in various jurisdictions and focusing on the regulatory and tax issues. His career started in 1995 in the Royal Air Force where he was in Human Resources.

    Steve holds an MBA from the Open University, an MA in Management from Exeter University and a PGDip in Management Research from the University of Bradford.  He also holds a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors where he is a member and is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

  • Associate

    Esme is a degree apprentice at Fundsure, currently enrolled on a CMDA at Henley Business School.

    Esme is responsible for business development, administration and compliance support at Fundsure.
